What’s Modernist About?

  • Modernist is an innovative, demanding, self-starting, high engagement, extremely fast paced, and fun (we’re a cocktail bar after all!) work environment; we constantly adapt and test new ideas so being comfortable with rapid change and adaptability are musts.
  • “People are the first thing and the last thing.” We reference this on our website, in print and verbally all the time. This belief is core to our philosophy, approach and expectations – of ourselves, internally and guest-facing.
  • Goes without saying, DEEP passion for cocktails and all the countless things that go into the “craft” are essential, for your own success and happiness!
  • We’re here to train bartenders and very quickly figure out if you truly want to be a craft cocktail bartender (for a living). It’s hard work and we don’t sugarcoat it. You will earn every step of the way, and you will have earned every step of your way.
  • We are looking for the right people to join our team! Specifically, proactive, passionate (about cocktails and hospitality), hard-working, detail-oriented and outgoing individuals, who thrive in a constantly changing, challenging and fast-paced environment, and enjoy creating exceptional experiences.
